An International Conference 1st - 4th June 2010

Sabhal Mòr Ostaig and The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama will co-host the country’s first international conference dedicated to Scots and Scottish Gaelic Song at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on Skye, from the 1st – 4th June 2010. 

Leading academics and some of Scotland’s foremost musicians and singers will attend the conference.  Delegates will hear from notable Gaelic and Scots academics including keynote speakers Dr Katherine Campbell from the University of Edinburgh, Musicologist Dr John Purser and Morag Macleod, one of the greatest authorities on Gaelic song and folklore of her time. 

The programme will include special performances from Christine Primrose & Gordena McCulloch and a final fling with cèilidh band Deoch ‘n Dorus. 

Come along for the day for only £25 or stay on campus for 3 nights at £250 with a special discounted rate available for students.
