Community Relations

Description of the facilities and services available to the local community

Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is frequently used as a venue for community and cultural events.  It has also been used for weddings and conferences.  For further details please contact our Facilities Manager, Carlotta Graham.

Development activities

Promotional material relating to institutional fundraising objectives

Sabhal Mòr Ostaig now has a Development Trust.  It aims to raise a £1m endowment fund.  Its current appeal is the “Farquhar Macintosh Scholarship Fund”.  Farquhar was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for 16 years who sadly passed away at the end of 2007.  To date £33,000 has been raised from donations across the country,  For further details please contact our Director of Development, Donnie Munro

The College currently runs a monthly internal newsletter for staff.  It is hoped this weill be extended to friends and stakeholders in the coming months. UHI’s e-newsletter is available on the UHI website.
