This course aims to take a group of instrumentalists (and any singers) through the process of choosing and arranging sets of tunes in an essentially West Highland idiom, and performing them in public at the end of the week. Rhythm, phrasing, pitch, harmony, dynamics and accompaniment styles will be looked at, and in a group of mixed abilities, the emphasis is on exploration, imagination and fun. There will be a daily rhythm workshop.
