Tutor: Christine Primrose:
Christine Primrose from Carloway in Lewis has gained a deserved reputation as one of the foremost Gaelic singers of today through her faultless traditional style combined with a freshness of approach.
Christine has made several CD's - "Àite mo Ghaoil", "S tu nam Chuimhne", " The Quiet Tradition" (with Alison Kinnaird) and "Gun Sireadh, Gun Iarraidh". She has taught workshops for many years at the College, at Fèis Rois and in the United States and Canada.
Songs will be taught orally, but copies of the materials used will be available to students. While there is no hard and fast rule on ability in Gaelic, some idea of the pronunciation would be a help.
