Sketch - Shedlife

This is the debut album by Sketch, a young, lively Scottish band featuring the clear voice of Maeve MacKinnon. The CD was launched early in the summer of 2012 and the band has since toured Canada and throughout Scotland. Among many other places, they performed at the HebCelt Festival this year where they made the headlines after arriving in spectacular fashion on a speed-boat. Although they play traditional music, Sketch have a very modern approach to it, not unlike Martyn Bennett’s music. As they put it themselves, “traditional music for the 21st century”.
