Now onto its third edition it has been re-edited by Cailean Maclean, who is a relative of Alexander Nicolson, and was newly published by the Island Book Trust in 2012. It has been said that this is the best and most authoritative history of Skye and anyone with an interest in the Isle of Skye should own a copy of this book.
