Dwelly's Dictionary

This is the newest edition of the Gaelic Dictionary first published by Edward Dwelly over 100 years ago. Dwelly's dictionary, which is exclusively Gaelic to English, is the best-known and most extensive Gaelic dictionary. There are several drawings to help explain words, as well as inserts about special topics such as canntaireachd or money. There also are lists of place names and personal names and as a short guide to grammar.

In this new edition, which was edited and re-published by Akerbeltz in 2011, Dwelly's work has been tidied up and printed in slightly bigger print.
