Corona Virus COVID 19
COVID 19 (Coronavirus)
Information for students, staff and visitors
Our campus is open for the new academic year 2021-22, in line with the Scottish Government Beyond Level Zero guidance for Universities and Colleges. We have risk assessed and put in place extensive measures to ensure that the risk of transmission is minimised on campus, amongst our students, staff and the wider community. We have also held discussions with the NHS Highland Health Protection Team about procedures in place. We are being exceptionally cautious around the start of the semester as campus-based HE students return to study, and have put in place additional measures that go far beyond the current restrictions in wider society, in an effort to bring everyone safely together. These are detailed below in the Start of Semester Additional Measures.
We are very much open and working with the continuation of projects, learning and research, taking a blended approach with ongoing home working for staff as required, and different events and meetings still online. Our distance learning courses will be continuing as normal, online. We will be offering in-person community classes again this autumn, but with additional measures in place to ensure the safety of participants. We are committed to ensuring the safety of our students, staff and communities, whilst providing quality learning opportunities and support services.
Where staff are working remotely, although it may take a little longer than normal to get back to you, we are still here to support you, our language and our culture. The best way to contact us is by e-mail. If you have enquiries about admission to our courses, please contact us on: firstname.lastname@example.org. For other matters and general enquiries, please contact at: email@example.com.
Please see the information below and for further updates; staff and students are requested to monitor their email accounts, and check this web page.
We will continue to review these safety precautions in line with current advice from the Scottish Government.
Stay safe, a chàirdean.
