Faclair na Gàidhlig


Faclair na Gàidhlig is an inter-university initiative by the universities of Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Strathclyde and Sabhal Mòr Ostaig to produce an historical dictionary of Scottish Gaelic comparable to those already available for Scots and English.

We are currently recruiting two full-time Trainee Lexicographers to join the team and play a key role in establishing an historical lexicographical tradition for Scottish Gaelic.

You will have a good honours degree in Scottish Gaelic, or demonstrable equivalent.  You will be a team player with the ability to work on your own and you will have an analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail.

Salary:  £27,830 - £32,236 (under review)

Base:  Negotiable.  Occasional visits to the project’s management base at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Isle of Skye will be necessary.

Closing date:  Friday 3 April 2020.

Housekeeping Assistant



Do you enjoy working in a busy place as part of a lively team? We have a full time position in our Hospitality Department and would like to hear from you. Training will be given to all as well as the opportunity to learn or improve your Gaelic.
