Murdo Campbell

Bio

Murdo Campbell was born and raised in Portnalong on the Isle of Skye. He attended the primary school there and then went to Portree High School. His Gaelic is that of Harris, where both his parents came from.

Murdo began his working life in Inverness, with an American company who sold items as diverse as electrical goods, bicycles and garage equipment. He also attended college in Inverness and gained an HND in Business. Following this, he worked for the company all over Scotland and his last sixteen years with them were spent as a manager in Inverness. He then went to work for Praban na Linne, in Sleat, for three years, before returning to Inverness in 1999. He then set up his own business selling food and drink, which he continues to do to this day, along with running a hotel.
