Sìne Ghilleasbuig


Sìne was born in Lewis, her mother’s native island; her father was from Islay. She has been living on the Isle of Skye for thirty years and at one time worked for Sir Iain Noble, founder of the College, at Eilean Iarmain. She works for Comunn na Gàidhlig as a Youth and Community Officer as part of the Lasair initiative. She is a graduate of Sabhal Mòr; she completed a degree in Language and Culture in 2002. Sìne is a director of Staffin Community Trust and the Islands Book Trust, and is a member of the board of Cleas Ltd, an arts charity.
