Management
Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is governed by a Board of Directors which holds responsibility for the College's strategy and policy development. Sherriff Roddy John MacLeod is currently the Chairman of the Board.
The College management team directs the three departments of Academic Planning and Provision, Corporate Services, and Development.
Committees and procedures are in place which aim to achieve the College's strategic objectives and to oversee the running of various aspects of the College. Cross-college committees encourage effective communication and many include student representatives. In addition to the College's internal management structure, external individuals add their expertise to the management of the College.

Sabhal Mòr Ostaig continues to hold Investors in People and Scottish Quality Management System status.
Sabhal Mòr Ostaig also oversees the management and development of Ionad Chaluim Chille Ìle on the island of Islay.
University of the Highlands and Islands
Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is one of 13 partners and research institutions which form the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI). College staff are involved in UHI developments and sit on relevant committees within the network partnership. College students are also encouraged to participate, as class representatives and as members of UHISA, the Students' Association.
