Undergraduate
The degree courses offered by Sabhal Mor Ostaig are the only degrees in Scotland taught entirely through the medium of Gaelic. The College is an academic partner in the University of the Highlands and Islands, and is a lead partner for the Gaelic and Related Studies Degree Scheme.
Not only will you have the opportunity to improve your confidence in the language you will also benefit from unique features on the courses which will develop your practical and social skills.
The courses place an emphasis on achieving fluency in Gaelic in year 1 and 2 and students will be encouraged to speak and use Gaelic on a daily basis. Thereafter you can specialise in modules leading to degrees in Gaelic Language & Culture, Gaelic & Development, Gaelic & Media Studies, Gaelic & Education and Gaelic & Traditional Music.
