This course is ideally for Irish-speaking students of our beginners' course, or those with a solid grounding in Scottish Gaelic. Previously learned material will be orally revised at the beginning of the week, with written confirmation. There will be an emphasis on pronunciation throughout the week.
This stage will progress fairly quickly to emphasis on spoken language through formal and informal settings, which will incorporate reading, writing, drama, poetry, idioms, proverbs, similes, placenames and songs using a wide range of materials.
This course is supported by the COLMCILLE initiative. Colmcille is a partnership programme between Foras na Gaeilge and Bòrd na Gàidhlig, promoting the use of Irish Gaelic and Scottish Gaelic in Ireland and Scotland and between the two countries.
