In this new course to Sabhal Mòr Ostaig with the acclaimed guitarist Ross Martin, you will be focusing on everything the guitar can bring to enhance traditional music, including rhythm, melody, accompaniment and arrangement. Fast session tunes to subtle backing of Gaelic songs will be addressed with both standard and DADGAD tunings catered for.

Ross Martin comes from Arisaig and has been playing and teaching guitar all of his adult life. A member of Dàimh, Ross also plays with many leading musicians in Scotland, Ireland and Brittany such as Julie Fowlis, Karan Casey, Buille and Breton "Fest-Noz" star Yann-Fanch Kemener.

It is important to note that this course is designed for students competent at playing at an intermediate level and above.  It is also recommended that you bring your own guitar with you in order to take part in the course.
