This new, unique and exciting weekend is part of the celebrations to mark the 40th Anniversary year of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. Based around the events leading up to the wedding of the year, guests will observe and participate in all proceedings, discover secrets which should not have been revealed and witness the climax of the weekend taking place. Will all go to plan for the bride’s perfect day and will the happy couple live happily ever after?
Come and join us for a fun filled two day Gaelic infused wedding themed weekend covering drama, song, witty entertainment and a couple of shocks along the way! There will be a small cast of budding actors and some well known faces participating in proceedings but it is up to the wedding guests to observe and work out ‘whodunit?’.

Time table:
This event will commence on Friday evening and continue through until Saturday night. It is strongly advised that participants are in attendance at the College no later 6.30pm on Friday. Should you wish to participate in the event and wish to arrive later please let us know.
Friday evening will commence at 6.30pm with an informal welcome & registration, information regarding the structure of the weekend and a chance to meet everyone prior to dinner. Dinner will be served at 7pm and will be followed by a ‘Stag n Hen’ themed night.
Brunch will be served between 10am and 12 noon on Saturday, with the second part of the weekend commencing at 2pm with the wedding service. Once the service has passed, there will be cutting of the cake and a wine reception available where guests can observe and discuss previous events. A wedding buffet will be served at 6pm followed by a Ceilidh where the climax of the weekend will take place.
The course will end when the Cèilidh ends!
Costs:
By booking a place on the course, you agree to be in attendance on both evenings and Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, participation for one day only will not be possible.
The cost of the weekend is £45.00 and this fee covers all evening and day-time meals, wedding wine reception, and the course fee for both days. (This rate is pitched towards people who don’t need overnight accommodation.) The all bargain inclusive rate of £95.00 covers all of above and two nights en-suite B&B accommodation in the College.
Level of Gaelic:
Whilst the event contains many elements in Gaelic, there will also be opportunities for the learner and beginner to take part and understand what is going on. However, it is an advantage for people to have a basic understanding of Gaelic, and the more you have the more you will appreciate and enjoy this unique experience. This is an opportunity for use and further your Gaelic in a new dramatic way, and native fluent speakers are more than welcome.

Level of Participation:
We appreciate that not everybody is experienced in drama or acting and guests are not expected to participate in any acting roles but will take the role of an observer of the drama and on goings. However, some people who are willing to star in small cameo roles on the odd occasion may be approached prior to the event taking place. Guests are encouraged to dress for the wedding which will take place on the Saturday afternoon as it makes it more fun for all concerned but is not essential as we would rather you were comfortable and enjoyed the event. No previous experience of drama or acting is required.
This event is for over 18’s only.
