Angus MacKenzie is himself a native Gaelic speaker steeped in tradition from the musically rich area of Mabou, Cape Breton Island on Canada's east coast. His father emigrated from South Uist in the Western Isles to Canada, while his mother's people are descended from the early settlers know as the Mabou Pioneers, who left from Lochaber.  A former pupil of world famous piper Dr Angus MacDonald, Angus was also pipe major of the Gaelic College of Nova Scotia’s pipe band where he steered the students to victory in their grade at the world Championships in Glasgow.

Angus then came to Scotland to study at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, the Gaelic College on the Isle of Skye where he still lives today.  He has been the piper in the Highland band Dàimh since its inception more than 10 years ago and has played on stages throughout the world.

Detailed course content will appear shortly.

It is important to note that this course is designed for students competent at playing at an intermediate level and above.  It is also recommended that you bring your own pipes with you in order to take part in the course.
