Catriona Lexy Campbell, Writer in Residence
Catriona Lexy Campbell is originally from the Isle of Lewis but spent some years in Plockton. She has worked as a drama artist, actor and writer for many years, working mainly in Gaelic. She has published four books to date- Balach Beag a Mhàthar (Stòrlann 2004), Sgeulachdan Eagalach Feagalach (Acair 2008), Samhraidhean Dìomhair (Gaelic Books Council 2009) and Cleasan a’ Bhaile Mhòir (Sandstone Press 2009)- and two new books are due to be published this year. She is currently writing plays for organisations such as the National Theatre for Scotland, Òran Mòr and Rural Nations. The play that she wrote for the BBC based on her book, Samhraidhean Dìomhair, was broadcast on the radio in December 2012.
