SEALL Events and The Skye Festival

The College is used as a venue by SEALL, or Skye Entertainments for All, which is the liveliest rural touring promoter in the UK and also organiser of Fèis an Eilein or the Skye Festival in July and August. SEALL has equipped two of the College's venues with stage sound and lighting - one for theatre and the other for more informal events. With the Fèis and its annual programme, SEALL brings over 70 high-quality touring events each year including leading traditional musicians, the best of Scotland's touring theatre, contemporary dance, ceilidhs, classical and world music. This provided students, visitors and audiences in south Skye with unprecedented access to cultural events.

In July and August, Fèis an Eilein runs alongside the SMO Short Courses, providing Course attenders with a weekly high-quality traditional music concerts, and a whole range of community led events. In 2014 the Fèis was named as Highland Community Initiative of the Year.
