You'll have plenty of opportunities to get involved in College and student life when you come to Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. If you have new ideas, or suggestions for changing something, there are channels for making your voice heard.
You could stand as a class rep, a go-between for students and academic staff, on classroom and teaching-related matters.
You'll automatically be a member of the National Union of Students (NUS) and of UHISA, the group working to promote closer, stronger ties between students across all UHI partner institutions.
Sabhal Mòr's own student group, Comann nan Oileanach, organises events such as concerts, excursions and some of the major social dates on the calendar, including the Christmas dance and the end-of-year Cèilidh Mhòr. You're encouraged to join in if you have bright ideas or simply want to lend a hand in getting things organised.
Comann nan Oileanach also gets involved in charity events such as collecting money for local and national causes on Red Nose Day, or for Children in Need.
You could look for a slot on the Student Consultative Committee, a forum for students and staff to discuss issues, such as College policies, that could affect student life.
If you have something you're passionate about, why not start your own club? Recent clubs and activities started include karate, aerobics, a creative writing group and Club Coiseachd.
