We are closely monitoring the ongoing advice and impact of the Coronavirus and are looking at ways of supporting you with your current application for 2020/21.
We understand that this is an exceptional situation for you and that you may have questions or are perhaps feeling anxious about your application, but we are doing all we can to ensure that matters progress as smoothly as possible.
Please be assured that our admissions staff will continue to work hard to process your application and keep in touch with you on its progress. Please bear with us, however, that as staff are now working from home this may take a bit longer than usual.
We recognise that this is an unsettling time for those of you expecting to sit school exams, which have now been cancelled. We are monitoring the processes put in place by the different exam bodies to allow grading and certification to go ahead in the absence of the final exams and will work with this information when it becomes available.
If you are still awaiting an interview, we will be in touch after the Easter holidays to arrange an informal chat and then, if appropriate, a date for an interview via phone or through an online app.
If you are still learning Gaelic and are perhaps concerned about the level of Gaelic you are at presently, please know that we understand your situation and that we are looking at ways of supporting you on your learning journey.
College and Universities across the country are awaiting further direction from the Government in relation to the academic year 2020/21 and we will relay this to you as soon as we receive it.
In the meantime, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig – students, teaching staff, support staff and the entire Sabhal Mòr community – are continuing with business and are working creatively and co-operatively to maintain delivery of courses and communications during this period.
Look after yourselves and we look forward to keeping in touch with you and also to welcoming you when you come!
