Sabhal Mòr Ostaig’s Library Service during the Covid-19 pandemic
The Library is closed just now but Library staff will be working from home and delivering the best service possible under the current necessary restrictions. Library staff will be working Monday-Friday, 9.00-5.00, and can be contacted at email@example.com
There is further information about the service and changes to the service below.
Every book loan has been automatically extended for all students and staff. Books do not have to be returned or sent back to us until the situation returns to normal. There will be no fines for late books.
UHI Inter-site loans
This service is now closed.
Library Resource Guides (in Gaelic)
The following guides give a brief overview of Library resources:
E-books and e-journals
Where possible we recommend that staff and students use suitable e-resources available through UHI Libraries. You can view what is available digitally for each module in this module list: https://uhi.rl.talis.com/index.html
Finding online resources
You can find resources via Multisearch - https://encore.uhi.ac.uk/iii/encore_uhi/homepage?lang=eng Use the ‘full text’ and ‘online’ search functions to search for digitally available items available to Sabhal Mòr Ostaig and UHI students. This will remove printed texts from your search results. Other resources can be found on the UHI A-Z database: https://libguides.uhi.ac.uk/az.php
Further information on e-resources, e-books, citing sources and other resources on the UHI LibGuides homepage: https://libguides.uhi.ac.uk/?b=g&d=a
The service will change and be adapted to the situation changes.
