The IA makes its collections available at no cost to researchers, historians, and scholars and operates under the rules of Creative Commons license. In its collection you will find many books on Gaelic, Scottish history, folklore and place names which Internet Archive makes freely available for educational purposes to promote scholarly research throughout the world. It is a member of the American Library Association and is officially recognized as a library in the United States.
