Fàs
The Fàs building, officially opened in April 2008, by the First Minister for Scotland, Alex Salmond MSP, is a dynamic new centre, designed to stimulate a critical mass of activities in the Gaelic arts, culture, broadcasting, new media and heritage.
Fàs is home to a number of creative and cultural projects including Sealladh & Young Films, Tobar an Dualchais, the Gaelic dictionary project, Faclair na Gàidhlig and Lèirsinn, the College's research base. It also hosts a state-of-the-art broadcast and recording studio, Skye Space, which provides training opportunities for trainees and professional in the media industry.
Fàs is also the base for Fàs Mòr, the Gaelic-medium childcare facility, which provides a stimulating Gaelic environment for up to 50 children from birth to school age.
There is also a workshop and exhibition space for the visual arts and the College's Artists in Residence are all based at Fàs.
