UNIVERSITY OF ULSTER TO PRODUCE IRISH LANGUAGE CD-ROMS

Seamus Mac Mathuna, Irish Language Professor at University of Ulster's Coleraine campus, has initiated a programme which develops Irish language CD-ROMs. The pioneering project is an endeavour to assist the departmental syllabus, with the CDs fully encompassing both visual and audio aids. Funded mainly by the EU Socrates programme for Minority Languages, the first CD-ROM is nearly complete, and the second has gone into production.
