Date: Fri, 23 May 1997 02:19:01 -0400 From: Dennis & Donna Francis <fran@ees.eesc.com> Tá rang ann anseo i Detroit. Bhíodh sé Dé Luain agus théinn gach seachtain. Ach bíonn sé Déardaoin i mbliana. Bím ag obair san oíche gach dara seachtain agus dá bhrí sin ní féidir liom dul ach anois agus aris. Is maith an rang é; is an-maith liom é. Tá beirt mhuniteoir ann, agus tá fiche duine ag foghlaim na Gaeilge i mbliana - tá seachtar foghlaimeoir i mo rang fein. Tagann daoine eile agus téann siad ach táimid ar feadh blianta i ndaiadh a chéile, agus is dlútthchairde sinn uile. --- There is a class in Detroit. It used to be on Tuesday and I went every week. But this year it is on Thursday. I work at night every other week and so I cannot go but now and then. It is a good class; I like it a lot. There are 2 teachers, and 20 people are learning Irish this year - 7 learners are in my own class. Other people come and go, but we have been together for years, and we are all close friends. From: Dennis & DonnaDate: Fri, 19 Feb 1999 23:08:44 I noticed in the local Gaelic League/Irish American Club newsletter that they're offering classes. Don't have details, but their address is 2068 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI 48216. And across the river in Windsor, Ontario, the Irish Canadian Cultural Club has classes on Mondays; some details are at http://www.tln.org/~irish/organizations.html#icc
