One place in New Jersey you can learn the Irish language is at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft (Middletown), off of Exit 109 of the GSP. Thre are four groups of learners, including beginners. Call 908-224-2214. There are ten sessions on Thursday evenings, beginning April 10 (8 sessions for beginners beginning April 24).

People living in North Jersey can study Irish at Bergen Community College. Bergen offers both the traditional adult education courses (Beginners & Intermediate) as well as courses for undergraduate students (Elementary Irish 1, Irish 2, & Intermediate Irish). For the autumn 1997 term, adult education courses (both beginners & intermediate) will meet on Monday nights, and the undergraduate course (Elementary Irish I) will meet on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
