Irish Gaelic classes in Japan

"Conversation classes in Irish will take place every Wednesday at 8pm
in Bewley's Cafe, Omotesdando.The format is informal, with beginners,
fluent speakers and anything in between mixing to create a pressure free
atmosphere in which it will be easy to improve your spoken Irish capabilities.
We hope and expect to get a large turn out so if you're interested please
come along."

At the present time there is a total of twelve classes
running, most of them in the centre of Tokyo, but a couple in Yokohama
and Fujisawa.
The Irish Literature Society of Japan a lively dynamic society.
They meet each Saturday, and four times per year they
publish a little booklet dealing with various Gaelic [or Irish?] matters.
At the moment there is a total of 48 people learning Gaelic,
and each year one or two of them attend the Gaelic summer course
in Gleann Cholm Cille.
The classes are held in the DIIA linguistic centre, which teaches
48 languages. We can be proud that Gaelic is to be seen among
them on the timetable.
Atsuco Mitsuhasi and Father Cathal Ó Gallchóir
(Cathal Johnie Sheáin as he is better known) are the teachers.
