Tuairisgeul pearsanta

Bha mi nam thidsear sna h-Innseachan agus ann an Siapan mus do thòisich mi ag obair ann am Breatainn aig Birmingham Industrial Language Training Services sna h Ochdadan. Às dèidh dhomh MSc ann an Applied Linguistics fhaighinn ann an Oilthigh Dhùn Èideann bha mi nam òraidiche sna colaistean ann an Cille Mheàrnaig agus Bruach Chluaidh mus tàinig mi a Bheinn na Faoghla. An uair sin, ag obair aig Sabhal Mòr Ostaig ach stèidhichte sna h-Eileanan Siar, bha mi an sàs ann an diofar phròiseactan ionadail agus eadar-nàiseanta a bhios a’ dèiligeadh ri leasachadh cànain agus rannsachadh. Bidh iad uile a’ tighinn còmhla ann an dòigh a tha ciallach dhan choimhearsnachd sa bheil mi a’ fuireach anns a’ phròiseact agus làrach-lìn air a bheil an t-ainm Guthan nan Eilean. Tha am pròiseact sin fhathast beò aig ìre shaor-thoileach, ged a tha mi fhèin a-nis nam Mhanaidsear Pròiseict aig Soillse. Tha mi air a bhith nam sgrìobhaiche agus nam fhear-comhairle dhan Institute of Linguists, SCOTVEC, a’ BhBC agus a’ Bhritish Council am measg bhuidhnean eile. Tha mi air a bhith nam cho-òrdanaiche, o 2005, airson an t sreath de phròiseactan Eòrpach POOLS/TOOLS, a tha a’ feuchainn ri innealan-, stuthan- agus dòighean-teagaisg airson luchd-ionnsachaidh cànain a leasachadh agus a bhrosnachadh le cuideachadh bho theicneòlas ùr. Cuideachd, tha mi air pròiseactan rannsachaidh a dhèanamh nam choimhearsnachd fhèin tron lìonradh Soillse.

Cuspairean rannsachaidh

Tha ùidh agam ann an ionnsachadh cànain, dà-/ioma-chànanachas agus na meadhanan ùra.
