Three months after my graduation I went over to Galway, Ireland to participate in a drama course for three weeks, where we received tuition through both Irish and Scottish Gaelic and learnt the skills required to act on stage.
A short time after that I was invited back to Ireland again when I collected a prize for Gaelic poetry. I first began writing whilst at the college, with guidance and advice from Aonghas MacNeacail and Rody Gorman.
At present I am working as an Information Assistant with the highlands of Scotland tourist board in Portree. The work will last until October and after that who knows?!
Looking back, the two years that I spent at the college were very useful to me. My fluency in Gaelic improved and I made progress in both writing and speaking the language. I benefitted too from the support I received from the college staff and from the hospitality of the people.
