1992 - 1994	Ecole Int. de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq: 2-year postgraduate diploma in theatre studies. Covered mime, movement and mask with classes in movement analysis, improvisational skills, acrobatics and text-based work.
1984 - 1990	Univ. of Edinburgh M.A. Hons. Italian (Distinction in Oral) and Italian language.  Medieval, 19th and 20th century Italian literature.
Other:	Fluent Italian and French, intermediate-level Gaelic, some German, Spanish and Russian
	Typing and basic secretarial skills, sound knowledge of Microsoft Word.

WORK EXPERIENCE
 

1996 - 1998:	Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Isle of Skye. Lecturer in Movement and Acting Skills:  Teaching a variety of movement, improvisational and acting skills. Assessing the students on these skills in accordance with SVQ HNC Outcomes for the Movement 1 module.
	Resource Assistant: Creating teaching resources for the Gaelic 1-year immersion course in collaboration with the teaching staff.
1995 - 1996	I.S.E.S (Immediate Specialised English Services), Tours. Teacher of English as a Foreign Language.  Weekly classes and intensive courses with professionals working in different specialist fields.
1995	C.F.P.P (Centre de Formation Professionnel et Polyvalente), Tours. Teacher of English as a Foreign Language.  Commercial secretarial course for the long-term unemployed.
1994	Hachette (Livres de Poche - Jeunesse), Paris Reader and critic of English and Italian-language books for children and young adults.

1988 - 1989	Compagnia Teatrale France Rame, Milan Personal Assistant and Assistant Stage Manager Translation and revision of theatrical texts, public and press relations, reorganisation of extensive archives and general secretarial work. ASM for the 'An Ordinary Day'/'The Open Couple' tour of Italy and Brazil.

THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE
 

Theatre:	Wide range of roles in English, French and Italian both as an actress and as a director. Some experience of stage management, lighting and set construction
Workshops:	Attended professional workshops of varying lengths conducted by:  John Wright (Trestle Theatre), Frankie Armstrong, Claude Chagrin, Pat Keysell (ex. Mime Artist In Residence for Scotland), Sean Curran (Théâtre Du Pif), Dario Fo and Franca Rame
Radio:	Small parts in two serialised radio dramas for 'France Culture' (French national radio station).
Dubbing:	Feòrag (Squirrel) in "Aig Nàtur Tha Fios" (Mother Nature Knows Best) for Tele Àr-A-Mach.

 
 
OTHER Activities and Interests

Travel: Extended periods of residence in Germany, Italy and France. Travelled widely in the rest of Europe, USSR (as was) and South America.
Horse-riding, cooking, creative-writing, photography, cinema and the performing arts. Mask-making and juggling.
