HÒRO-GHEALLAIDH IN SLEAT

The sense of community and pride in what has been achieved over the last 50 years was palpable at the final hòro-gheallaidh of our 50th anniversary year on Friday.
The children and young people of Sleat, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig staff, alumni living in Skye, and students from the BA (Honours) Gaelic and Traditional Music performed against a beautiful backdrop of images from the last 50 years, emphasising what we are, and always have been about, and that’s community.
We are seeing out 2023 on a high, and we look towards 2024 with great optimism, with new courses afoot and more world-class learning opportunities on campus and online. We’d love you to join us on this next chapter, www.smo.uhi.ac.uk.
We would like to thank Maoin nan Ealan Gàidhlig (funded by Creative Scotland, Bòrd na Gàidhlig and administered by Fèisean nan Gàidheal) for their support with this concert as well as the very generous local businesses who donated raffle prizes
