Stirling Pupil Wins First Prize in Logo Competition
Connor Harper, a pupil at Wallace High School, has won first prize in a competition to design a logo to celebrate Sabhal Mòr Ostaig’s 40th anniversary in 2013. Gaelic pupils from secondary schools in Scotland were invited to design a logo which would be used to promote special events taking place throughout the year to celebrate this special anniversary. Connor, who is a third year pupil at the school, received £150 and the school was given a cheque for £100, which they plan to spend on Gaelic learning resources. Marion Docherty from Portree High School on the Isle of Skye was awarded second prize and received £50. Lisa Moyes who works in the College’s marketing department at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, commented: “2013 is a special year for the College and we were delighted to receive almost 100 competition entries from secondary schools across Scotland. We would like to congratulate Connor and Marion and also thank all the pupils and schools who sent us logos.”
