On this course you will spend a week in and around the college’s recording studio, exploring music and sound – how they work, how they are recorded and produced, and how they can be used creatively, whether in music, contemporary art, theatre or product design.
At the beginning of the week, you will pick up basic skills in recording, producing, editing and mixing, as well as the most important skill of all – listening!
You will then put your skills to the test on a creative project of your own, working alongside the other participants and sharing your creations with them.
Guiding you on your journey into sound will be Hector MacInnes, who has worked with acts ranging from Dàimh to Mylo as an engineer, producer and musician, as well as creating a range of radio, sound art and podcast projects.
No previous experience required..
There’s only space for up to 8 people on the course – to ensure your place, please book early!
