Welcome to our summer 2022 programme of Short Courses!  We are delighted to be able to welcome you back on campus this summer after the challenging times of COVID.  We’ll be phasing in our return to normal over the course of several weeks.  Full details can be found below.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be offered on campus again (subject to availability) during June, July and August. You may of course make your own arrangements for accommodation offsite, and we also allow course participants to camp on our grounds, though please be aware we are not an official campsite and our facilities are limited. Full details may be found on our Accommodations page.

Sabhal Mòr Ostaig

Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is the National Centre for Gaelic Language and Culture. Based in Sleat, Isle of Skye, we are the only centre of Higher and Further Education in the world that provides its learning programmes entirely through the medium of Gaelic in an immersed, language-rich environment.
Celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2023, we were established before the first Gaelic-medium ‘primary units’ in schools throughout Scotland. Today, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is the biggest employer of Scottish Gaelic speakers in the world.
