Alastair is originally from the Isle of Lewis and attended the University of Glasgow before training to qualify as a Chartered Public Finance Accountant. He has held a variety of financial management roles in the NHS and local government in the Highlands, Edinburgh, Argyll and Clyde, Inverclyde and Glasgow. He is currently Director of Finance and Resources for Renfrewshire Council.
