The National Library of Scotland holds the largest collection of Scottish music. Music Curator Almut Boehme, on her week-long Knowledge Exchange visit to the College, will give an overview on the music collections and useful music resources for researchers at all levels. This will include an introduction to the full text music available in the Library’s Digital Gallery, digital scholarship opportunities via the Library’s Data Foundry, remote access to subscription services such as Oxford Music Online and Naxos. Almut will also talk about catalogue retroconversion and the Scottish song index pilot database both of which offer new opportunities for Scottish music researchers.
