Disability Support
Equality of opportunity is a core value at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. All students receive the same service irrespective of age, colour, disability, gender, political persuasion, race, religious belief or sexual orientation.
We welcome applications from prospective students with disabilities, or those who have additional support needs. We understand that some people might want to keep their disability a private matter, but if you tell us confidentially, we will try to provide the best possible level of support.
You can tell us at any time: when you make your initial enquiry; at enrolment; when you’re on your course; or by speaking to your course leader, studies advisor or someone from the Student Support Services team.
Every student receives information about the College’s policies on equal opportunities and disability and other relevant materials, so you will know what Sabhal Mòr Ostaig can do to help you.
We understand that you might not want to disclose that you have a disability, but telling us means we can offer the best level of support and advice, giving us the chance to make appropriate reasonable adjustments on your behalf in areas such as: teaching or accommodation; assistive technology; help with accessing financial assistance for disabled students; or alternative exam arrangements.
If you have a disability or additional support needs, you are encouraged to speak to us at the earliest opportunity.
