What’s your name, and where are you from?
My name is Eilidh Russell and I am from Inverness.
Which course are you on?
I am on my second year of the BA (Hons) Gaelic and Education.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy swimming outdoors and I like doing crochet.
What are the 3 best things about studying at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig?
The ceilidhs, close friends and feeling like part of a strong Gaelic community.
Why did you choose to get involved with Comann nan Oileanach this year?
I wanted to be involved in organising events, and I thought that it would be a great opportunity to improve my confidence.
What kind of things do you do as the Chair of Comann nan Oileanach?
As the chair, I lead our meetings, communicate with the Board of Directors and look after our social media channels. As well as that, I make sure that we listen to the opinions and suggestions of the other students.
What are Comann nan Oileanach’s priorities during this Academic Year?
- Using Gaelic
