The Silver Chanter returns to Sabhal Mòr Ostaig for 2025
The Silver Chanter Piping Recital Competition returns to Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on Wednesday 06 August 2025 as part of an exciting partnership between the College, The Piobaireachd Society and Torabhaig Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
The black-tie event will take place in Talla Dhonaidh Chaimbeil at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on the evening of the Isle of Skye Highland Games, with attendees to arrive by 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
The prestigious Silver Chanter has celebrated the music of the MacCrimmons since its inception in the Isle of Skye in 1967. The music for this year’s competition is to be drawn from the MacCrimmon tune list used for the senior piobaireachd competition at the Skye Gathering.

Tickets can be purchased at the door on the night.
