Information for Sabhal Mòr Ostaig Graduates

Who will be graduating?
- Students who have completed a degree course, or another course such as a Diploma or Certificate, and are not progressing to the next level.
- Students who have completed a particular level and have no plans to return to the next level, for a while.
Who won’t be graduating?
If students have completed a particular level and want to do a module or two at the next level, they will not graduate.
If students have completed a specific level and have told us that they will return to the next level in a year, they will not graduate.
Costs
There is no charge for graduating students to attend, but they will be required to arrange and pay for a graduation gown.
You should reserve a gown via this website: www.edeandravenscroft.com. Alternatively, you can call them on 01223 861854 Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Guests
Graduates can bring up to three guests at a cost of £40 per guest.
Registering for the Graduation – you will receive a letter informing you about the Graduation and the web link required to register yourself and book and pay for your guests.
Translation service during the graduation ceremony
We will be providing a translation service for the graduation, and we are currently working to ensure that we have sufficient translation equipment for guests who require it. If you have guests who require a translation device, please let us know on the online form when booking and paying for your guests, and we will do our best to arrange this for you.
Certificates
No certificates are given at the Graduation – graduates will receive a notification from SRO with a form to fill out to receive their certificate.
Programme
- 16:30 – 17:30: Gowns to be collected
- 16:30 – 17:45: Solo and family photographs, Seòmar Eige
- 18:00: Graduation Ceremony, Talla Dhonaidh Chaimbeil
- 19:30: Group photographs
- 20:00: Food – there will be a buffet served in the dining room downstairs in ACC
- 21:30: Cèilidh and dance in An Talla Mòr, Àrainn Ostaig
