Ceòl Mòr Ostaig



Students, alumni and tutors from the BA (Hons) Gaelic and Traditional Music at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig will be performing at Ceòl Mòr Ostaig, hosted by Ceòl is Craic at the CCA in Glasgow on Saturday 27th April. 

To complement this event there will also be a programme of *free* interactive workshop sessions running at the Theatre Gu Leòr office, 22 Mansfield St, Partick, G11 5QP.

 

Workshops @ Theatre Gu Leòr:

1.00pm Presentation by German-Scottish artist Bibo Keeley who in 2018 was awarded an artist residency on the Isle of Skye, funded by Wasps Artists Studios.

2.00pm Gaelic singing workshop with Ellen MacDonald, graduate of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig’s BA (Hons) Gaelic and Traditional Music course, who now sings with groups including SIAN, Dàimh and Niteworks.

3.00pm Interactive media workshop with Alistair Mackay looking at camera skills, sound and presentation. Alasdair is a graduate the Diploma in Gaelic Media (SMO) and is currently Media Manager for Skye Space.

4.00pm Gaelic learners conversation group.

 

Concert @ CCA, Sauchiehall Steet, Glasgow:

7.30pm ‘Ceòl Mòr Ostaig’ with Griogair Labhruidh, Eilidh & Angus MacKenzie, Murdo Cameron, Murdo L MacIver and Sabhal Mòr Music Students.
