Gaelic Arts Strategy Launch & Creative Conversation

As part of Glasgow City Council’s Gaelic Language Plan [2012-17] Glasgow Life are delighted to be launching a Gaelic Arts Strategy for Glasgow [2018-22].

It will be launched in partnership with Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig & The National Theatre of Scotland with support from Bòrd na Gàidhlig.   Creative Scotland were consulted in the development of this strategy.

The Launch event will be an open and progressive discussion about Gaelic Arts and aims to stimulate debate about the role Gaelic Arts has in the revival and impact on the language.  The afternoon will include creative conversations with the Artists that led the successful programme of works-in-progress developed by Glasgow Life in 2016 and other guest speakers.  Providing a critical space to explore Gaelic Arts is an ambition shared by Glasgow Life and their partners particularly the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland which runs the ground breaking MA in Gaelic Arts [Learning & Teaching].

We hope that you will want to be part of this conversation and look forward to seeing you there.  The event starts at 1.30pm and runs until 5.30pm on Saturday 28th October 2017 at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Wallace Studios.
