Slighe gu Teagasg 2026

Our Slighe gu Teagasg course will be running again at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in March 2026. The course is now open for applications, and for the first time, the course is open to S5/6 pupils, both fluent speakers and learners, from across Scotland.

The course is designed for pupils with an interest in teaching Gaelic that would like more information about related courses and student life. This innovative course is created and run by Sabhal Mòr Ostaig’s team of Teacher Education lecturers. Pupils will be given the opportunity to think about the teaching courses and its requirements, develop language and communication skills and get a taste of student life at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.

The course will run from 09–12 March 2026 and pupils will receive accommodation and full board at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig for free. The deadline for applications has been extended to the 09 February 2026. There is a limited number of places on the course; therefore, make sure you fill in the application form to apply for the course.
