Slighe gu Teagasg 2026

Our course Slighe Gu Teagasg will be running again in 2026 in the month of March. The course is now open for applications from S5/6 pupils both fluent and learners. This will be the first time applications are open for pupils all over Scotland.

The course is designed for pupils with an interest in teaching Gaelic that would like more information about related courses and student life. This innovative course is created and run by our team of teacher education lecturers. Pupils will be given the opportunity to think about the teaching courses and it’s requirements, develop language and communication skills and get a taste of student life.

The course will run from the 9th-12th of March 2026 and pupils will receive accommodation and full board at SMO. The 26th of January is the deadline for applications. There is a limited number of places on the course, therefore, make sure you fill in the application form to apply for the course.
