FILMG AWARDS 2023
What an incredible night at the FilmG Awards 2023! Congratulations to all who took part and to those who won prizes.
It was great to see so many Sabhal Mòr Ostaig graduates and students there, both winning and presenting awards. Among them was Sorley Johnston, who is in the second year of our DipHE Gaelic Media course, who won the BEST STUDENT FILM award with ‘Air an Rathad‘.
It was also good to see the influence of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in the film ‘Gàidheil Ùra‘ by Innes MacLeod, himself a graduate, telling the stories of three Gaelic learners.
Our principal, Dr Gillian Munro, was present to present THE GAELIC AWARD. We would like to congratulate the students of Millburn Academy, who won the award with their remarkable film, ‘Dath Falaichte‘.
A big thank you to the FilmG team for the work they have done to bring us another special competition this year, and to everyone involved.
