Gaelic A1 (Part 1): Complete Beginners

Sabhal Mòr Ostaig and Camuscross & Duisdale Initiative are pleased to be working together to offer a series of complete beginner Gaelic classes based at An Crùbh, starting again this January.

These classes (A1 Part 1) are aimed at complete beginners, following Topics 1–5 of the SpeakGaelic A1 course. They would be suitable for those who have little to no Gaelic at all, and who are looking to start their learning journey. Information on what is covered by A1 Topics 1–5 can be found on the SpeakGaelic website.

These classes are available at half price for parents and grandparents with children in Gaelic Medium Education and are subsidised by Bòrd na Gàidhlig. Course fees will go directly to Camuscross & Duisdale Initiative.

SpeakGaelic has accompanying television programmes made by BBC ALBA, as well as extensive supporting materials such as podcasts and the SpeakGaelic website for self-directed learning. SpeakGaelic currently has materials available at CEFR levels A1, A2 and B1, with plans for B2 in the future, offering a structured pathway for learning the language.
