Help plan the future of Gaelic arts and culture
Cultural organisations across Scotland are being given the opportunity to help develop and deliver a new National Gaelic Arts Strategy. The strategy will set out what action will be taken to support and strengthen Gaelic arts and culture, with this framework then worked into the next National Plan for Gaelic (2012-17)
Brian Ó hEadhra, Gaelic Arts & Culture Officer for Bòrd na Gàidhlig and Creative Scotland said:’Gaelic is an intrinsic part of Scottish cultural life – from our traditional stories, songs, dance and drama to the cutting edge of today’s creative industries.
‘The strategy will ensure this vital part of our creative sector can continue to inspire, innovate and enrich Scottish culture for years to come. This is an excellent opportunity for arts bodies to engage in the next stage of planning the development of Gaelic arts in Scotland.’
