New Gaelic Podcast
“A’ Chrannag” is a new podcast featuring short stories in Gaelic by both well-loved and emerging writers.
The first season, hosted by Ruairidh Graham, will bring you a new story every second Sunday. Episodes will be available at www.crannag.org, or by subscribing through iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts.
Our theme for this series is a scene from the legend of Buile Suibhne, and includes writing by Ruairidh MacIlleathan, Lana Pheutan and Morag Law. The first story, by Calum L MacLeoid, will be online soon – subscribe and download the trailer now so you don’t miss anything!
The podcast’s producer, Hector MacInnes, said:
“We can’t wait for everyone to hear the first season of A’ Chrannag. The stories themselves are a real showcase of contemporary and traditional Gaelic story-telling, and there are whole worlds to get lost in, in each episode. We are also really excited to be podcasting in Gaelic. Podcasts have been one of the great new media of the 21st century and while we’d love as many people as possible to subscribe to A’ Chrannag, we also want to encourage anyone else thinking of podcasting in Gaelic to go for it!”
