Gwen MacQuarrie is originally from the Black Isle and now lives in Sleat. She completed a BA (Hons) Language and Culture at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in 2003. Before returning to Sabhal Mòr Ostaig to teach the BA (Hons) Gaelic and Education, and as a PGDE Course Director (Gaelic Pathway – primary & secondary), she completed a PGCE at the University of Strathclyde, and then worked in primary schools across the Highlands as a teacher and headteacher. She now works as the Head of Teacher Education at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. Gwen is behind Oideas, a podcast about Gaelic education, and has also been involved in developing primary literacy resources with Lasadh.
