Sabhal Mòr Ostaig’s DipHE Gaelic Media alumnae shortlisted for Royal Television Society Awards 2025

Two of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig’s Alumnae, who both graduated with distinction in 2024 from the DipHE Gaelic Media Course, have been shortlisted for an RTS Scotland Student Television Award after entering their final projects produced while on the course.
Both Mhairi Gillies and Raonaid Urquhart’s entries have been shortlisted in the Factual – Short Form category for their short productions Air Loidhne: Social Media and I and Anne Againne (Our Anne)
After completing the DipHE Gaelic Media course, Raonaid has gone on to work on many Gàidhlig and English-speaking productions. Last summer, Raonaid travelled all over the Highlands of Scotland filming Jules and Greg’s Wild Swim, as well as location marshalling on the Isle of Mull for Netflix and working at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival. She is currently working with CBeebies ALBA.
Mhairi has worked successfully on various productions mainly for BBC Alba including Hoolie at the Hydro, The Trad Awards, The Royal National Mòd, Cèilidh Na Bliadhna Ùire, Seirm and Cù Leis Thu? She has recently finished a freelance contract with BEEZR TV and works for Highland Council on several Social Media campaigns.
They are both currently enjoying the world of freelancing and looking forward to new opportunities in the year ahead.
We wish them both the best of luck when the final winners are announced at the awards ceremony in Glasgow on Thursday March 27, 2025.
